I am experience working in outdoor education and mountain tourism. As a student I was a member of the Explorer’s Club at school, giving Tobaji numerous opportunities to explore the outdoors and travel overseas. This included a trip to Nepal, where he trekked Annapurna and rafted down the river of Karnali.I was once your typical Japanese “salaryman”, but decided to change up careers and work for an outdoor education provider, and later became a certified mountain guide. I fell in love with Daisetsuzan for its untouched nature and distinct seasonal beauty, and is excited to share my profound knowledge of the area. When I’m not guiding, I can be found canoeing or helping rice farmers and beekeepers in Higashikawa in the spring and autumn. Languages: Japanese (Native) / English (Fluent) / Swahili

Hello, I’m Yuka Obitsu.
I live in Furano, which is the center of Hokkaido.(Good access to all over Hokkaido!!)
I was born in Saitama prefeture which is near Tokyo, and raised up in the nature.
My parents love mountain hiking, they brought me many mountains since I was 3 years old.
That’s the my source to be a hiking guide in Hokkaido.
And I worked in New Zealand for 2 years 2018 to 2020 as a stargazing and nature guide in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park.
During Covid-19 period, I come back to Japan and move to Hokkaido.
Because I know Hokkaido has abundant nature and very unique history and culture. All things were quite new and fresh for me, it was so attractive.
I decided being a guide in Hokkaido.
