About me

Born in Furano, Hokkaido, I spent my childhood immersed in outdoor play year-round. After traveling for about four years through New Zealand, Canada, and Australia, I returned home and began my career as an outdoor guide. I started guiding for rafting and canoeing about 15 years ago, and I’m still guiding here in Furano today. Exploring rivers like the Teshio, Ishikari, Biei, Chubetsu, Sorachi, Shisorapuchi, Nunobe, Mukawa, Yubari, Chitose, and Shiribetsu, among many others.

Why a trip to my region is worthwhile

My journeys through New Zealand, Canada, and Australia allowed me to truly connect with nature. Coming back home to Furano, I was reminded of how incredible Hokkaido truly is, which led me to start my outdoor guiding business. I grew up playing in these very forests and rivers, and now, combining those lifelong skills with my guiding experience, I’m eager to share the joy of Hokkaido with as many people as possible.
