Born in the Philippines, I am a native speaker of English and Tagalog, with full professional proficiency in Japanese. I lived in Indonesia and Singapore before settling in Hokkaido in 2010. I also work in translation and travel planning. I am a licensed Travel Services Manager and a certified Master of Hokkaido Tourism. My hobbies include tenipon and driving around Hokkaido.

I mainly offer insightful walking tours in Sapporo for international visitors, along with a selection of other guided experiences. Before becoming a guide, I worked as a nurse for seven years at a university hospital in Japan and later gained experience in elderly care in New Zealand. I now balance my work as a public health nurse with guiding, sharing the history and culture of the region.
Drawing on my healthcare background, I pay close attention to each guest’s lifestyle, travel experience, and interests. My goal is to create tours that offer meaningful insights into local life and culture, highlighting both similarities and differences in ways that lead to genuine connection, discovery, and enjoyment during your time in Hokkaido.

My name is Hideaki Morii from SAVEBLEU. I run SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) tours in the sea around Otaru, Hokkaido. I originally specialized in lifesaving activities, so I’m familiar with the ocean and have a strong sense of safety. I’m prepared to help you experience Hokkaido’s great outdoors with peace of mind. I’m an expert nature and mountein guide in Shiretoko, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. For over two decades, I’ve been deeply involved in the region’s nature, including biodiversity surveys and serving as a university lecturer. With a Ph.D., I offer tours and lectures across eastern Hokkaido (Shiretoko, Akan-Mashu) that are backed by rich knowledge and scientific data. I have also made many media appearances showcasing Shiretoko’s wildlife and beauty.
