Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

My name is Hideaki Morii from SAVEBLEU. I run SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) tours in the sea around Otaru, Hokkaido. I originally specialized in lifesaving activities, so I’m familiar with the ocean and have a strong sense of safety. I’m prepared to help you experience Hokkaido’s great outdoors with peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you.

I have been guiding for 27 years now, so by 2025, I will have been a guide. From leisurely to intense river and sea kayaking, sea and river SUP guiding, summer mountain and winter mountain backcountry guiding, I am active throughout Hokkaido in a full range of fields (river, sea, mountain), so I can make your dreams come true. My base is the Niseko area in central Hokkaido.

Born in Sapporo in 1988. After being as a backpacker, rickshaw man, and high school teacher (English), I moved to Okushiri Island in 2018. In 2021, I became a “Hokkaido governor-certified outdoor guide,” guiding more than 500 people a year to the sea and forests. As the island’s only nature guide, my mission and purpose in life is to connect people with nature and people in Okushiri Island, and to show them the charms of the island.
